Guest Policies & Terms

CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellation on or before 30 days prior to the agreed-upon check-in date shall result in the forfeiture of the pre-payment required for booking. We do offer Travel Insurance as outlined below.

Cancellations within 30 days of the check-in date shall result in the forfeiture of all money paid unless trip cancellation insurance has been purchased and the cancellation is for a covered reason.

No refunds will be issued for early departures. No refunds or credits will be made for weather-related issues or closures, including hurricanes and/or mandatory evacuations. Guests have the option to purchase vacation travel insurance that may provide coverage under certain specific weather-related circumstances.

All reservations made through a third party, including Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, or another booking platform, are subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the party through which the original reservation was made, if applicable.

OCCUPANCY & AGE REQUIREMENTS

The maximum number of guests permitted in each room is limited to the established sleeping capacity of that accommodation. Children under 3 years of age do not apply toward the occupancy limit.

The Blu Boutique Motel requires the primary registered guest to be 21 years of age or older. The registered guest must closely and personally supervise all occupants of the room who are under the age of 21.

Valid government-issued identification may be required at check-in for age and identity verification.

Any reservation made under false pretenses, including misrepresentation of age or occupancy, may result in cancellation of the reservation, forfeiture of monies paid, and/or removal from the property.

RENTAL PAYMENT & FEES

We welcome MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

All credit card payments will incur a non-refundable 3.5% convenience fee.

E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge, provided they are submitted at least 30 days prior to check-in.

If an e-check is returned or dishonored by the guest's bank, a $25 returned-payment fee will be added to the reservation balance. This charge represents the penalty assessed by our third-party payment processor and is not an additional fee generated by the property or management.

Reservations made more than 30 days prior to arrival require an initial payment equal to 20% of the reservation total, plus the Trip Insurance amount, if applicable.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

The credit card on file may be charged if the final payment has not been processed by the applicable due date.

LISTING ACCURACY & FAIR HOUSING COMPLIANCE

The Blu Boutique Motel makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of room descriptions, photographs, amenities, furnishings, and services.

However, furnishings, equipment, amenities, décor, and services may be changed, replaced, or updated when necessary.

All accommodations are available on an equal-opportunity basis.

Rates and availability are subject to change without notice.

PROPERTY RULES & REGULATIONS

Guests and all members of their party agree to respect and comply with all rules and regulations established by The Blu Boutique Motel.

Guests must also comply with applicable local ordinances, fire and safety regulations, and laws of the State of Florida.

Violations of property rules may result in additional charges and, when warranted, removal from the property without refund.

The registered guest assumes responsibility for the conduct of all occupants and visitors associated with their reservation.

VACATION TRAVEL INSURANCE

The Blu Boutique Motel highly recommends trip insurance to our guests.

Rental Guardian Travel Insurance provides coverage for certain personal risks and expenses incidental to planned travel, which may include:

  • Hurricanes
  • Injury or illness, including COVID-19
  • Accidents, disability, or death occurring during a covered trip
  • Interruption, delay, or cancellation of a covered trip
  • Loss of or damage to baggage, luggage, or personal effects
  • Damage to accommodations or rental vehicles

Coverage is underwritten by Nationwide.

The retail premium for Standard Travel Protection is 7.5% of the trip cost.

Upgraded protection that includes a Cancel For Any Reason Benefit (CFAR) adds an additional 3.75% of the trip cost, for a total of 11.25% of the trip cost.

Eligibility requirements apply. Additional exclusions and limitations may apply if coverage is not purchased at the time of booking.

RESERVATION CONFIRMATION

Guests will receive a confirmation email after the required advance payment has been received.

Please review your confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if you notice a discrepancy. Otherwise, the information provided will be assumed to be correct.

Guests should verify:

  • Arrival and departure dates
  • Reserved room/accommodation
  • Rental amount and balance due
  • Number of registered occupants

We make every effort to ensure that the room reserved remains available. However, The Blu Boutique Motel reserves the right, when necessary, to relocate a guest to an equal or upgraded accommodation.

A non-refundable pet fee is charged for guests bringing a pet.

This policy is strictly enforced.

Pet Fee for 1 Pet: $25 per night

Pet Fee for 2 Pets: $40 per night

Service animals must remain with their owner at all times and may not be left alone in the room for any reason.

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all guest rooms and on room patios and porches.

Violation of this policy may result in removal from the property and forfeiture of rent.

An additional $500 cleaning charge will be assessed for violation of the smoking policy.

REGISTERED GUESTS

Only guests registered with The Blu Boutique Motel may occupy the reserved room overnight.

No additional overnight guests are permitted without prior authorization from management.

The number of occupants may not exceed the established maximum occupancy for the reserved room.

The registered guest is fully responsible for the actions and conduct of all occupants and visitors associated with their reservation.

The Blu Boutique Motel reserves the right to remove a guest or party from the property if occupancy requirements or other material property rules are violated.

PROPERTY USE

Guest rooms and accommodations are provided for lodging purposes only.

Guests and members of their party agree to obey all rules and restrictions applicable to The Blu Boutique Motel as well as applicable local ordinances and laws of the State of Florida.

Guests may not engage in activities that create an unreasonable disturbance, safety hazard, property damage, or interference with the peaceful enjoyment of the property by other guests.

MAINTENANCE & ACCESS TO GUEST ROOMS

Non-emergency maintenance needs will be addressed in a timely manner, typically by the next business day.

Guests should report maintenance concerns directly to management so they can be addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Discounts or concessions are not provided solely because of a maintenance issue when management is actively working to rectify the issue.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

The Blu Boutique Motel is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, stolen, misplaced, damaged, or left behind by a guest or member of the guest's party.

Guests are responsible for securing their belongings during their stay and checking their room thoroughly before departure.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY

The registered guest is responsible for the room and property during the reservation period and for the conduct of all occupants and visitors associated with the reservation.

The registered guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Blu Boutique Motel, its owners, management, employees, and representatives from claims, actions, damages, liabilities, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising from the occupancy or use of the premises by the guest or members of their party when caused wholly or in part by the acts or omissions of the guest or their party.

Guests may be financially responsible for damage to the room, furnishings, fixtures, linens, equipment, or other property caused by themselves or members of their party.

If a suitable replacement accommodation is unavailable, the guest will have the right to cancel the remainder of the stay and receive a refund of the nightly rate paid, plus applicable taxes, for nights that could not be utilized.

Troubleshooting assistance may be provided on a limited basis.

Temporary interruption or unavailability of internet/Wi-Fi service does not constitute grounds for a refund.

THIRD-PARTY RESERVATIONS

Reservations made through third-party booking platforms, including Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, and other online travel agencies, may also be subject to the terms, conditions, payment policies, and cancellation policies of the platform through which the reservation was originally made.
